Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Language Grinder application and website (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Language Grinder is a language-learning application that helps users build vocabulary, practice grammar, and improve language skills through spaced repetition and interactive exercises. The Service is available as a mobile application and a web application.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Free Plan

The Service offers a free tier with limited daily training sessions and access to A1-level grammar content.

Language Grinder Pro

A paid subscription ("Pro") unlocks unlimited daily sessions, all grammar levels (A1–C2), and full access to all training modes. Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription.

Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account or payment method will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same price.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. For iOS, manage your subscription in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. For web subscriptions, manage them through your account settings. After cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period.

Free Trials

We may offer free trial periods. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the advertised price.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of any vocabulary, notes, or other content you create within the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
• Create accounts through automated means or under false pretenses

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, grammar content, and curated vocabulary packages, is owned by Language Grinder and protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that learning outcomes will be achieved.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Language Grinder shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.

10. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
